THE SURVEY COMMITTEE PRESENTS A SECONDED MOTION TO THE HISTORIC LANDMARKS COMMISSION THAT IT PROCESS THE EXTERIOR OF THE PARKWOOD AVENUE A.R.P. CHURCH BUILDING, 1017 PARKWOOD AVENUE, CHARLOTTE, FOR HISTORIC LANDMARK DESIGNATION. THE COMMITTEE UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE MOTION.
THE SURVEY COMMITTEE PRESENTS A SECONDED MOTION TO THE HISTORIC LANDMARKS COMMISSION THAT IT PROCESS THE E. L. BAXTER DAVIDSON HISTORIC MARKERS AND MONUMENTS WITH THE PROTECTED RADII AS RECOMMENDED BY STAFF FOR HISTORIC LANDMARK DESIGNATION. THE COMMITTEE UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE MOTION.

a. HLC Adventure Club Inaugural Outing
Commissioners, Committee members, family, and friends are invited to join us on Saturday, February 19 at 10:00 a.m. as we explore the largest known exposed boulders in Mecklenburg County at Big Rock Rock Shelter, one of the few intact locations in Mecklenburg County associated with Native American history. Designated as a local historic landmark in 2008, the rocks are located within the Big Rock Nature Preserve at 6500 Elmstone Drive, Charlotte. Parking is available streetside where the preserve fronts Elmstone Drive.
