a.  HLC Adventure Club Inaugural Outing 

Commissioners, Committee members, family, and friends are invited to join us on Saturday, February 19 at 10:00 a.m. as we explore the largest known exposed boulders in Mecklenburg County at Big Rock Rock Shelter, one of the few intact locations in Mecklenburg County associated with Native American history. Designated as a local historic landmark in 2008, the rocks are located within the Big Rock Nature Preserve at 6500 Elmstone Drive, Charlotte. Parking is available streetside where the preserve fronts Elmstone Drive.
