The prospective buyer of the Excelsior Club, located at 921 Beatties Ford Road in Charlotte, has informed the Historic Landmarks Commission that the offer to purchase the property has been terminated.

At its meeting on Monday, Charlotte City Council unanimously voted to approve the proposed preservation plans for the VanLandingham Estate, located at 400 S. Summit Avenue, Charlotte, N.C.
