HLC Agenda – October 13, 2025

The Historic Landmarks Commission will meet on Monday, October 13 at 6pm.

1.  Adoption of the Consent Agenda

Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Historic Landmarks Commission authorize Chair Reddrick to sign the Programmatic Agreement.

3.  Public Comment Period

Registration in advance is required to make public comments. Public comments can be up to 3 minutes per person and there will be no response from Commissioners. 

4.  Public Hearing

Registration in advance is encouraged but not required to speak during the public hearing. You may register by either emailing HL@MeckNC.gov by 1pm on the meeting date OR stating in the Teams chat BEFORE the public hearing starts that you want to speak. Public comments can be up to 3 minutes per person.

a.  Consideration of the Designation Report for the R. Kent and Gertrude N. Blair House, 529 N. Poplar Street, Charlotte

Presentation on Property

Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Historic Landmarks Commission pass a motion that the R. Kent and Gertrude N. Blair House at 529 N. Poplar Street in Charlotte, North Carolina, be processed for historic landmark designation including the interior and exterior of the house and the associated tax parcel.
