The owner of the Delburg Mill House is requesting that the approved plan for the garage be modified to include windows set into the front gable.
Staff recommends that the proposed changes are not appropriate and do not meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation number 2, which states that the historic character of a property shall be retained and preserved, and number 9, which states that the new work shall be differentiated from the old and shall be compatible with the massing, size, scale, and architectural features to protect the historic integrity of the property and its environment.
