This property was put on the HLC’s Study List in 2015. Staff believes that the Survey and Research report successfully makes the case for special significance for this property. Staff recommends that this property be considered at the HLC’s March meeting to provide time to visit the site.

The owner supports landmark designation. Staff recommends that a Survey and Research report be funded that would document the Rural Hill Marker, as well as the other stone features erected at Rural Hill and along Beatties Ford Road by Baxter Davidson.
