The public will take notice that the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as practicable, on Monday, September 11, 2023, via a virtual meeting format, focused on the question of designating as a historic landmark the property known as the “John C. and Nancy B. Abernethy House.” For instructions on attending and participating in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission virtual public hearing, visit the Commission’s website at www.landmarkscommission.org or contact the Commission at 980-314-7660.
The hearing will allow the public to comment on the potential historic landmark designation of the “John C. and Nancy B. Abernethy House” (listed under Parcel Identification Number 03309401 and including the exterior of the building and approximately 3.3 acres of the land listed under Parcel Identification Number 03309401 in the Mecklenburg County Tax Office, Charlotte, North Carolina as of April 1, 2023). Said property is owned by Sanders Partnership LLC, and is located at 7040 Pleasant Grove Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. Such designation would be pursuant to Chapter 160D, Article 9, as amended, of the General Statutes of North Carolina.
