HLC Public Hearings (Virtual Meeting)

The public will take notice that the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on the 12th day of September, 2022, via a virtual meeting format, focused on the question of designating as a historic landmark the property known as the “Franks House.” For instructions on attending the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission virtual public hearing, visit the Commission’s website at www.landmarkscommission.org or contact the Commission at 980-314-7660.

The hearing will allow the public to comment on the potential historic landmark designation of the “Franks House” (listed under Parcel Identification Number 07306312 and including the exterior of the building and the land listed under Parcel Identification Number 07306312 in the Mecklenburg County Tax Office, Charlotte, North Carolina as of July 1, 2022). Said property is owned by Rivafinoli Partners LLC, and is located at 305 Dunbar Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. Such designation would be pursuant to Chapter 160D, Article 9, as amended, of the General Statutes of North Carolina.  


The public will take notice that the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on the 12th day of September, 2022, via a virtual meeting format, focused on the question of designating as a historic landmark the structure known as the “Battle of McIntyre’s Farm Monument.” For instructions on attending the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission virtual public hearing, visit the Commission’s website at www.landmarkscommission.org or contact the Commission at 980-314-7660.

The hearing will allow the public to comment on the potential historic landmark designation of the “Battle of McIntyre’s Farm Monument” (associated with the property listed under Parcel Identification Number 03711605, and including the monument in its entirety and a twenty-four (24) foot radius of land immediately surrounding the monument, measured in each direction from the central point of the monument, all as associated with the property listed under Tax Parcel Number 03711605 in the Mecklenburg County Tax Office, Charlotte, North Carolina as of July 1, 2022). Said monument, standing near the intersection of Beatties Ford Road and McIntyre Avenue, is associated with the property located at 5801 Beatties Ford Road in Charlotte, N.C., which is owned by Mecklenburg County. Such designation would be pursuant to Chapter 160D, Article 9, as amended, of the General Statutes of North Carolina.

The hearing will allow the public to comment on the potential historic landmark designation of the “Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church Wall and Marker” (associated with the property listed under Parcel Identification Number 04117101, and including the wall in its entirety, as well as a twenty (20) foot wide strip of land abutting each side of the wall, running for the entire length of each segment of the wall, and the marker in its entirety, as well as a twenty (20) foot radius of land immediately surrounding the marker, all as associated with the property listed under Tax Parcel Number 04117101 in the Mecklenburg County Tax Office, Charlotte, North Carolina as of July 1, 2022). Said structures are associated with the property located at 4700 Beatties Ford Road in Charlotte, N.C., which is owned by Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church, Inc. Such designation would be pursuant to Chapter 160D, Article 9, as amended, of the General Statutes of North Carolina.  


The public will take notice that the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on the 12th day of September, 2022, via a virtual meeting format, on the question of designating as a historic landmark the property known as the “Blythe House,” including the first and second level interior hallways and staircase of the building, the exterior of the building, and the approximately 0.397 acres of land listed under Tax Parcel Number 01711623 in the Mecklenburg County Tax Office. Said property is owned by HFH Investments, LLC and is located at 121 Gilead Road, Huntersville, NC.  Such designation would be pursuant to Chapter 160D, Article 9, as amended, of the General Statutes of North Carolina.

The public will take notice that the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on the 12th day of September, 2022, via a virtual meeting format, on the question of designating as a historic landmark the structure known as the “Cowan’s Ford-Davidson College Monument,” including the monument in its entirety as well as a fifteen (15) foot radius of the land immediately surrounding the monument, measured in each direction from the central point of the monument, all as situated on the property listed under Tax Parcel Number 00902102 in the Mecklenburg County Tax Office. Said property is owned by MDHB Properties LLC and is located at 14910 NC 73 Highway, Huntersville, NC.  Such designation would be pursuant to Chapter 160D, Article 9, as amended, of the General Statutes of North Carolina.

The public will take notice that the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on the 12th day of September, 2022, via a virtual meeting format, on the question of designating as a historic landmark the structure known as the “General William Lee Davidson Monument,” including the monument in its entirety as well as a forty (40) foot radius of the land immediately surrounding the monument, measured in each direction from the central point of the monument, all as situated on the property listed under Tax Parcel Number 01315102 in the Mecklenburg County Tax Office. Said property is owned by Duke Power Company and is located at 5455 Cashion Road, Huntersville, NC.  Such designation would be pursuant to Chapter 160D, Article 9, as amended, of the General Statutes of North Carolina.

Said property is owned by Herseng Yang and is located at 6645 Neck Road, Huntersville, NC.  Such designation would be pursuant to Chapter 160D, Article 9, as amended, of the General Statutes of North Carolina.
