The public will take notice that the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission will hold a virtual public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on the 9th day of November 2020 on the question of designating as historic landmarks the following properties:
The final determination of designation of these properties will be decided by the Charlotte City Council at a future City Council meeting.

The public will take notice that the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission will hold a virtual public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on the 9th day of November 2020 on the question of amending the designation ordinance for the James C. Dowd House, 2216 Monument Street, Charlotte, which was designated as a local historic landmark in 1978. The ordinance would be amended to include in the historic landmark designation the approximately .682 acres of land containing the James C. Dowd House and associated with tax parcel number 06706105 and approximated .1916 acres of land to the north of the house associated with the adjoining tax parcel number 06706106. All of the property being recommended for inclusion in the designation of the James C. Dowd House was once part of a 100 acre tract of James C. Dowd’s farm which later became part of the US Army’s World War I era Camp Greene.
The final determination of the amendment of this designation ordinance will be decided by the Charlotte City Council at a future City Council meeting.
