The public will take notice that the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission will hold a virtual public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on the 9th day of November 2020 on the question of amending the designation ordinance for the James C. Dowd House, 2216 Monument Street, Charlotte, which was designated as a local historic landmark in 1978. The ordinance would be amended to include in the historic landmark designation the approximately .682 acres of land containing the James C. Dowd’s farm which later became part of the US Army’s World War I era Camp Greene.

The final determination of the amendment of this designation ordinance will be decided by the Charlotte City Council at a future City Council meeting.
