Director's Report December 8, 2008 A. Action Item. 1. Linda Kidd is here to discuss the prospect of establishing a new price for the Rozzel House property on Old Rozzells Ferry Road. The Commission will have to go into Executive Session to consider this matter.
B. Information Items. 1. Staff continues to work to locate a tenant for White Oak Plantation. Assistance from Commissioners would be appreciated. 2. Staff has developed a second educational video since the last meeting. It explains the history of the Isaac Newton Alexander Mill Ruin. 3. Staff continues to work on securing the Torrence Lytle School. A subdivision plan has been submitted to the Town of Huntersville.
4. I did meet with the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority on November 13th to raise again the issue of the historic designation of the original Charlotte Coliseum. I plan to meet with that group again on December 10th. 5. The County Budget Department will meet with Staff in January to develop an operational budget for FY 2009-10. Staff will keep you advised.
