A. Charlotte Water Works/Vest Station, corner
of Beatties Ford Rd., and Patton Ave., Charlotte, N. C.
The City of Charlotte is proposing to:
- Install new insulated windows that would include a
ventilation system along the bottom of the current window openings.
- Install new EPDM roofing system.
- Repair and replace damaged parapet caps and coping.
- Repair the concrete surface of the building and repaint.
- Add new roof ventilators and exhaust fans
- Install two new 42" square exhaust fan louvers on the rear
of the North building in original window openings.
- Install four new 42" square exhaust fan louvers in the
existing window openings in the clerestory of the South building.
The Committee discussed the Application. Concerns were
addressed regarding the presented plans. Mr. Lackey explained that better
ventilation is needed for the structure as water is falling from the ceiling

in the building.
