This inventory of older buildings in Mecklenburg County and Charlotte was administered for the

Historic Landmarks Commission in the Summer of 1975 and consists of properties constructed prior to and

post 1900.  The names of many of these buildings are from the businesses which occupied them in 1975,

the year this survey was administered.
